H&B is an established leader in stem cell bank and cell therapy industry in China, and is led by a management team and board of directors who have helped pioneer this new and developing field of biotechnology and regenerative medicine.
The Company has a diversified operational strategy across several current and developing business lines. These include: 1) stem-cell storage; 2) a provider of stem cell therapies throughout regional healthcare facilities in the domestic China market; and 3) research and development of new stem cell based medicine and large scale manufacturing and storage processes, as well as 4) stem cell based cosmetics and anti-aging applications.
Location & Facilities:
H&B headquarters are located in the Beijing Economic and Development Area, a southeastern outskirt of Beijing, with a production base of over 3600 m2 under GMP- compliant cell factory. The maximum capacity at this new site will be 100,000 units.
In Guangzhou city, Guangdong Province,, H&B has a wholly-owned subsidiary with a biomedical GMP-compliant cell factory of over 2000 m2. The H&B Guangzhong has become an industrial base of stem cells of Guangdong Province since 2010, which was approved by Guangdong Province Government.
H&B is a client-based stem cell technology services company that supports the development and commercialization of cell therapies and related products. One of the proprietary services of H&B is family storage of placenta umbilical cord tissue derived pluripotent stem cells (P-PSC), mesenchymal stem cells (UC-MSC), and hematopoietic stem cells (P-HSC). In a context of clinical perspectives, it is necessary to benefit from existing competences. H&B has developed a series of techniques to isolate these stem cells from placenta and umbilical cord and store them safely until use.
The collection of tissue stem cells from placenta and umbilical cord is widely considered to be non-invasive sample and safe. Samples are taken immediately following birth and once collected are delivered to our laboratories for processing, analysis and storage. Stem cells are stored in the gas phase of liquid nitrogen using sophisticated biological storage technologies. The storage is monitored under laboratory condition for a minimum of 18 years.
